# Product safeguards review — 2026-09-12

This is the shared review record for the DeepFake Shield, LegacyVault,
GazeGuard, RepairTrail, ContextKey Shield, ClearGrant Trust, and SchemaForge
pilot surfaces. All seven remain **reviewable pilot prototypes**, not
production guarantees. Pilot invitations are intentionally out of scope for
this pass.

## DeepFake Shield

- Media stays local to the browser; the contract accepts metadata only.
- Audio/video requires explicit consent, a bounded sample rate and transform
budget, a local-only transform/output mode, human quality review, and a
  pilot-boundary acknowledgement.
- Biometric identification/scoring, automated takedown/access actions, and
cloud media processing are disabled. Retention defaults to zero minutes.

## LegacyVault

- The console creates a metadata-only plan and never accepts plaintext,
passwords, recovery phrases, or private keys.
- Every plan requires a future unlock date, a synthetic dry-run, two to five
independent approvers, tested recovery and revocation, a signed metadata
  receipt, and two-person custody.
- Real unlock, deletion, release, and custody operations are disabled.

## Shared pilot controls

- **GazeGuard:** redacted tracker metadata only; block/notify/allow responses
are visible and reversible, with no eye data collected or synthesized.
- **RepairTrail:** coarse asset classes and redacted event metadata only;
sensitive identifiers are rejected and the passport does not prove a repair.
- **ContextKey Shield:** HTTPS canonical origins, same-site proxy paths,
schema validation, bounded request rates, and edge-only secrets.
- **ClearGrant Trust:** evidence states are explicit (verified,
self-reported, missing, or stale); no documents are uploaded and no funding
  outcome is promised.
- **SchemaForge:** synthetic payloads are inspected locally; only field names
and counts reach the contract, with secret-like names flagged.

All server checks require a signed QI workspace and persist metadata-only audit
records. Exported review artifacts are local, marked `review_required`, and
must be retained with owner and second-approver notes. No external provider
credentials, pilot invitations, or real customer data are added by this pass.

## Release gate

Before inviting pilots, run each console on desktop and mobile, capture the
request ID and result, review the exported artifact, and record owner plus
second-approver sign-off. A failed or unavailable server check must leave the
local workflow usable and must not cause an external side effect.
