What works in the current candidate

A structured creative workflow, not a one-click comic machine.

Forge helps one creator carry a project from source material to reviewable pages while keeping authorship and final decisions with the creator.

Keep project material together

Organize local series notes, canon records, character design sheets, locations, props, and linked reference art.

Shape scripts into pages

Import text or a screenplay subset, review an editable pacing outline, then arrange story beats into pages and panels.

Prepare and inspect output

Adjust panel composition and lettering, attach or layer art, review proofs, and export common page and book formats.

Local by design

Your project stays in your browser profile.

The current beta runs a small server on the same Windows computer and stores project data in that browser’s local storage. Forge has no sign-in, cloud sync, hosted image model, or automatic update service.

Optional image generation requires a separately installed ComfyUI service on that computer and an explicit in-app action. Review ComfyUI’s local file retention and your model’s terms separately.

What Forge does not promise

Human review stays in the loop.

Not automatic finished manga

Forge organizes and lays out work; it does not reliably write a complete story or create finished, publication-ready art by itself.

Not a rights or legal review

It does not verify ownership, permissions, copyright status, or whether an export is legally cleared to distribute.

Not publisher approval

Preflight and proof tools check selected structural and layout conditions. Creators still need to inspect the work and confirm the intended publisher’s requirements.

Before trying it

Good to know.

What do I need to run the current Windows candidate?

A supported Node.js LTS release, version 22 or newer, and a modern browser. It is currently delivered as a ZIP with a launcher, not as a signed Windows installer. Optional local image generation needs a separately configured ComfyUI installation and compatible model.

Is Forge taking paid orders?

No. The technical beta candidate is not currently for sale. Price, buyer license, delivery/updates, support and refund terms, and checkout have not been finalized.

What happens if I request an introduction?

The introduction form is free and nonbinding. It does not provide product access or start a paid pilot, purchase, subscription, or other work. The form explains its collection by Netlify and links to the Qurmmius privacy notice.
