Heartbeat Handoff

Concept detail · target pilot

A secure ContextKey offshoot that releases an encrypted handoff packet only after a series of private check-ins go unacknowledged for a set period.

Why it exists

A handoff should happen reliably when a person cannot respond, but only after a transparent, carefully designed safety window.

Pilot workflow

  • Name a backup recipient, define check-ins and escalation contacts, encrypt the packet, and rehearse the recovery path without releasing secrets.
  • A local-first, human-readable record of what the system saw and decided.
  • An exportable artifact that a pilot partner can review before wider use.

Prototype boundary

This must include false-positive prevention, accessibility, multiple human confirmations, and a clear legal/ethical review.

Planned service shape

Target pilot pricing for validation—not a live subscription or promise of availability.

$9/moPersonal · 1 packet
$39/moFamily · 5 packets
$99/moCare team pilot
