An early concept for a time-delayed information handoff after missed check-ins. Security, key recovery, false-positive handling, and safety procedures have not been validated; do not rely on it for emergencies or production secrets.

Why it exists

A handoff should happen reliably when a person cannot respond, but only after a transparent, carefully designed safety window.

Proposed pilot workflow

  • A proposed tabletop exercise could use synthetic check-ins and non-sensitive sample content to examine the handoff flow.
  • Design goal: make check-in status, trigger conditions, and recovery assumptions clear to the user.
  • Design goal: support review after security, false-positive, and safeguarding tests are complete.

Prototype boundary

This must include false-positive prevention, accessibility, multiple human confirmations, and a clear legal/ethical review.
