Put the dash on your phone.

Pair a phone as a separate read-only display while Assetto Corsa EVO and the Apex bridge run on your PC. You do not need Apex open on a second monitor.

Set it up

  1. Download the bridge package and extract it on the Windows PC running Assetto Corsa EVO.
  2. Install current Node.js LTS if it is not already installed.
  3. In the extracted folder, open PowerShell and run npm install once.
  4. Phone pairing requires a PEM TLS certificate and key from a trusted certificate authority. The certificate must include the PC's private-network IP address(es) in its Subject Alternative Name, and the phone must trust its issuing certificate authority. The PC pairing page now checks certificate/network readiness before it enables pairing.
  5. Set $env:ACEVO_TLS_CERT_PATH="C:\path\to\lan-cert.pem" and $env:ACEVO_TLS_KEY_PATH="C:\path\to\lan-key.pem" in PowerShell. Close an older bridge on port 8765, run npm start, and leave that window running. Without a valid cert/key, phone LAN pairing stays disabled; the PC-local bridge still works.
  6. Open Apex Academia on that PC and click Pair phone on this PC. Check the readiness message for HTTPS, private network, and live telemetry before pairing. If Windows Firewall asks, allow Node.js on private networks only.
  7. Connect the phone to the same trusted home/private Wi‑Fi. Scan the HTTPS one-time QR and tap Approve & pair phone. The PC page can revoke it.

The bridge reads Assetto Corsa EVO telemetry only. Other simulators/platforms are not enabled by this package.

Transport and network boundary

The PC companion uses HTTPS for phone traffic and refuses LAN pairing unless the certificate and key are valid. Your phone must trust the certificate issuer, and the certificate must match the exact private IP in the URL. Do not bypass certificate warnings, use public/shared Wi‑Fi, create router port forwarding, or allow the bridge through a public firewall profile. If the PC certificate is not set up, use the PC-local bridge only.

What the phone sees

Speed, RPM, gear, lap, car/track labels, throttle, and brake—only from the live simulator frame. Pairing lasts up to 12 hours and the token is kept in memory on the PC and the current phone tab. Restarting the PC bridge clears pairing. The dashboard does not upload data to QI and does not control the game or wheel.

The phone screen shows only fresh frames; stale cached values are hidden with a clear waiting message. This is a simulator dashboard, not a real-road driving aid or safety system. Values may be unavailable or delayed; verify against the game.
