QURMMIUS RECONSTRUCTION · REVIEW REQUIREDWalk the evidence first: 24 primary archival derivatives, an approximate spatial anchor, and a local feature-triangulated reconstruction with its confidence and limitations attached.
Walkable world preview
Enter a browser-based VR session to walk an interpretive reconstruction of the fairgrounds. The photorealistic environment is the primary world view; alignment geometry is hidden by default and can be enabled for spatial review.

Disclaimer: This is an AI-assisted, interpretive world reconstruction based on archival photographs and an approximate Qurmmius Palimpsest anchor. It is not an original photograph, exact pixel recovery, or surveyed historical record.

Qurmmius local reconstruction · drop-in ready
The local engine keeps source photos on-device, recovers relative camera geometry where features overlap, and exports a portable PLY plus calibrated multi-view texture handoff. With the local CUDA runtime it can also produce a dense MVS surface mesh. The point-cloud preview renders the checked-in ASCII handoff; a reviewed binary_little_endian 3DGS PLY, .splat, or textured GLB can be routed to the browser-based WebXR viewer. Hotspot positions, inferred depth, and absolute scale remain review-required.

Reconstruction report
The report links feature matches, camera-pose attempts, vertex count, dense MVS output, textured-depth output, and the Qurmmius Palimpsest uncertainty handoff. A low confidence score is expected for archival photos captured from different vantage points.

Run the local reconstruction engine
Start scripts/start-reconstruction-service.ps1, select three or more source photos, and rebuild without sending images to KIRI or any hosted service. This control is enabled only on a local HTTP origin.
Local service status not checked.

Each card is a source photograph selected for the same building. Viewpoint roles are descriptive; they are not a completed camera calibration.

Explore, compare, and contribute
These tools are local-first MVP features layered on the cited scene. Generated detail, alignment, and user submissions remain review-required.
Phase 4 tools ready. Atmosphere changes mood and lighting only; geometry is unchanged.
Offline download is explicit and optional; it caches the curated scene set for this browser.
Show me why
Every scene claim carries its sources, transformations, confidence, uncertainty, and review gates. Open the chain before treating a generated view as history.

Location, sources, and sharing
Progressive features for museums, field trips, and researchers. External data remains cited and optional.
Only use the distance check if you choose to share location with your browser. It compares your current position to an approximate modern site pin; it is separate from Palimpsest map fitting and does not verify the historic building footprint.
